In Abuja, a new road is rarely just a road.

It can change where people live, where businesses open, and how much property is worth.

Several major road projects across the FCT are currently moving toward completion, with the FCT Administration targeting December delivery for some of them. These include the Wuye–Ring Road II corridor, Tungan Madaki–Zuba Road and the Zaudna–Kaba–Kagini route linking to the Kubwa Expressway.

There is already a good example in the Karu area.

A recently completed 15-kilometre road project has improved traffic flow, drainage and access, with businesses along the corridor reporting better activity.

So what does this mean for property owners?

Access creates value.

An area that was once considered “too far” can become much more attractive when commuting becomes easier. Developers notice it. Businesses notice it. Homebuyers notice it. Everybody does.

This is why smart property buyers always ask:

“What is the property worth today?”

They also ask:

“What is happening around this property?”

Because the most valuable thing about a property is what’s being built around it.
